A broad band connection is almost mandatory although other types of internet connections such as cable or DSL will work well. If you have a dial-up connection, then upgrade as soon as possible because this will be unsuitable for video blogging. You will need to be able to watch your video blogs on your computer; for this you will need appropriate software. Most computers have, already installed, either Windows Media Player or Apple QuickTime. If not, they can both be downloaded free of charge.
The final thing that you will need to think about is some video editing software so that you can edit your blog. Most computers either have Apple I-Movie or Windows Movie Maker. These will do the job perfectly and adequately in the early stages.
